Every release, we ask ourselves the same question: what would help our clients deliver better search experiences, convert more visitors, and run their operations with less friction?

This one has a few good answers.

Let’s take a look at what’s new in LupaSearch!

Console & appearance upgrade

The console got a significant under-the-hood upgrade! You might not notice the difference visually, but you will notice smoother animations and a cleaner analytics plugin.

Also, the dark mode is finally here — one of your most-requested features, and we delivered.

Advanced Hybrid search is here

Keyword, vector, and visual search are now combined into a single, simultaneously running hybrid search engine.

In practice, this means queries like “Italian cooking classes” or “something sweet” return meaningful results even when exact keyword matches don’t exist. Short query? Keyword search takes the lead. Longer, conversational phrase? Vector search steps in automatically.

You can also configure the precision balance yourself — giving you control over how the engine prioritises results across different use cases.

If you want to try out hybrid or vector search in your project, contact the LupaSearch team, and we can arrange a demo!

Less guesswork in Recommender

Why did a particular product show up first? Now you don’t have to guess.

Under Test Recommendations, we’ve added a full breakdown of how each result was calculated — including the contributing factors and their individual scores, such as Bought together, Session click, User click, Similar attributes, and Category top items.

Applied rules are also now visible per product, so the logic behind every recommendation is transparent and traceable.

The result: faster debugging, clearer insights, and no more reverse-engineering your own recommendation results.

Smarter personalisation sources in Recommender

The recommendation engine now draws from a broader set of sources, bringing more personalised product suggestions out of the box. Most notably, we have added the Trending Items source — now powered directly by your analytics data, with the added ability to select the time period it draws from.

Seasonal spike? Recent campaign? Changes in user behaviour? Your recommendations can now reflect it.

Analytics upgrade: Filter by what matters to your business

You can now filter search analytics by your own custom metadatawarehouse, platform, device, language, country, or any other dimension relevant to your operation.

Just hit +Add Custom Filter and define the metadata you need.
